The County of San Diego has instituted a notification system that is able to send telephone (and other forms of) notifications to residents during a potential or actual emergency or disaster. The system is called AlertSanDiego. AlertSanDiego allows you to add VoIP, cell phones, and/or email addresses to receive alerts.
