Best Mexican Food in Escondido - Hacienda de Vega

Front Entrance at Hacienda de VegaHacienda de Vega is one of my favorite Mexican Food restaurants in San Diego County. This place feels authentic from the minute you park your car. Situated just far enough from other buildings and roads, you feel like this restaurant is in it's own little world. Hacienda de Vega has a huge outdoor seating area with plenty of options (lounge chairs, dining tables, multiple bar areas, flat screen TVs, etc.) to suit any size group at any time of the night.

One of the best parts of any Mexican food restaurant is the salsa, and Hacienda de Vega doesn't let you down in that category. They have several salsa flavors, all made right there in the restaurant (my favorite is their chipotle salsa). Be careful with their hot salsa!

The fun parts of this restaurant (to me) are the sheer size of the place, good food, and outdoor atmosphere. You truly feel like you are at a Mexican fiesta. You can't go wrong with their amazing fajitas, and (of course) you just might want to try a margarita!
