Frustrated with Another Buyer's Agent -Testimonial Letter from Samantha Z.
I originally called Justin on the recommendation of my mortgage broker, after a very frustrating experience with another agent. My previous agent was reluctant to show me all of the listings I wanted to see, and I felt pressured to go above my budget in my home search. Justin, on the other hand, was a breath of fresh air. For every appointment, he was prepared with notes that both he and I had written regarding the listing online, his conversations with the other broker and the actual listing.
After an extensive interview (over the phone while he was on vacation - I'm not sure he rests), to get a feel for what I was searching for in a house and agent, and letting me know his work philosophy and style, the search for a house began. From the outset, Justin spent time educating me on the entire process.. Though this was not my first house, I was not used to buying in such a competitive market, and Justin prepared me for what lay ahead and reassured me that I would find the right house, but it might take some time.
I did have an offer accepted on a house, but ultimately decided that it was not the right house for me, and Justin was extremely helpful during the stressful process of cancelling an offer, making sure that I got all of my deposit returned. He did not try to influence me in any way, but was extremely unbiased, through the whole process. As my search continued, Justin suggested some creative approaches to search for properties in my desired neighborhoods, and though he said that they were long shots, that it might be worth a try.
Ultimately I found the "right" house, and with the help of Justin's keen negotiating skills, I was able to recoup some of my closing costs to help pay for some needed repairs that the sellers were unwilling to undertake. Justin did suggest a whole host of inspections, which allowed me to go into the purchase of my house with my eyes open, knowing what kind of property I would be dealing with, and what, if any, repairs might be needed in the near future. As this was an older home with some deferred maintenance, I'm glad I took his advice and I am able to address some of the issues upfront. I recently closed on my property and I am looking forward to moving into my new house in my new neighborhood.
The bottom line is that I couldn't be happier with Justin, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends or family, and if I find myself looking for another house, I would want to work with Justin.
