Agent Referral Program
A New Way to Refer (for Agents)
First of all, thank you for visiting globella.com!
I've developed a new program for agent referrals.
What's Wrong With Agent Referral Fees:
I am familiar with how most agents handle agent referrals and "referral fees", and I feel that the system is outdated. At minimum, it doesn't work for me because I just don't feel right asking to be compensated simply for taking an hour to do some research and refer my friend/client to a competent agent in another state. Here is the problem. Money talks. I hear that some agents offer a pretty high referral fee to agents who send them referrals. Do you pick the agent based off how much money you'll make for the referral or how well-qualified the agent is to take care of your client? I'd like to believe that every agent would always do the right thing for his/her client, but the incentive just isn't there. Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel right collecting a 20-50% referral fee just for finding an agent for my friend/client.
I'm not here to preach, and I have no intentions of changing what you (or any other agent) do regarding agent referrals. What I am here to do is share my philosophy with you.
How We Handle Agent Referrals:
My company, Globella Buyers Realty, receives a fair amount of referrals. Here's our program. We don't pay agent referral fees, but it's not about the money. In fact, whenever an agent refers a new client to us we commit to donating 20% of our commission at the close of escrow to charity. We have our preferences of charities, but we are also open to input from the client and the agent. We truly appreciate every referral we receive, and we pride ourselves in providing each of our important clients with the best customer service and buyer representation in San Diego.
We feel good about this program for many reasons. It fits with our philosophy of doing business. It's transparent. It provides help to well-deserving causes. It makes you look good. It gives back. It allows you to look at our services objectively and choose us for the level of service we will give your client.
Globella is an exclusive buyer agency, which means that we specialize in helping buyers only.
If you have a client, friend, or family member who is buying a $600,000 to $3,500,000 home in the San Diego area in the next 90 days, call Globella Buyers Realty at 858-437-2662 to help him/her hire an agent on the buyer's side of the transaction.
We are looking for like-minded agents in other states, so please send me an email if you share this philosophy - justin@globella.com - OR write a comment underneath this article.
Sincere thanks,
Justin Gramm
